Talented Children

The Spokesman-Review, Spokane's daily newspaper, has a nice story on the front page of the Northwest section of today's edition. It features some of the more than one thousand competitors at the Washington State Elementary Chess Championship, an event that encroached a little bit into my blogging time.

Read the story at the newspaper's webpage.

  1. "Kids who play chess are better at reading and math, said event coordinator James Stripes. Chess also teaches good sportsmanship, he said"

Wow, you even got a mention in that article aswel. Congrats on running a fine tournament!

  2. Thanks. It was fun. I'm a little tired today.
