James, i stumbled on your blog and have a question for you. I would like to learn to play chess (I'm 50, and have never learned) and i would like to download a chess app for my ipad. I have been reading about shredder; my question is, does it teach you the basics if you are a complete beginner? I would like an app with some kind of tutorial or teaching guide for someone who has never played and doesn't know anything about the game. I like the look of the shredder graphics but don't want to spend the cash if it's not really for beginners! I would appreciate it if you would drop me a line at:
