Shredder's Tactics Training for iPad
Yesterday, while the youth in my chess class were busy playing each other, I finished the 2000th tactics problem on the Shredder iPad app. When I set my New Year's Resolutions for 2013, I indicated that I would reset the app when I reached this point. In 2013, I plan to go through all 1000 problems a third time.
From the time of purchase of the my iPad, September 2010, until my review of the tactics training feature, November 2011, I solved 702 problems. My pace increased after that, and my scoring percentage rose from 76% to 78%. In 2013, I aim for 80% or higher. Speed and accuracy are required for success.
This level of success may be difficult. In March 2012, after 1331 problems solved, my scoring percentage was 78.47%. After the 2000th problem, the percentage declined to 78.34%. I must be more accurate or faster, or both in 2013 than I was in 2012.
